First, we’re pleased to announce that the Foundation’s board approved the transfer of 45,768,389.49 FOX to a burn address, which was executed this morning: Ethereum Transaction Hash: 0x8d9f3e9021... | Etherscan
Second, the time has come for the Foundation to begin winding down. This includes any and all financial support from the Foundation to the DAO ceasing by the end of February. Fortunately, thanks to combined efforts over the past 4 years, this amount is relatively minimal. Nonetheless, it’s important that billing/payment methods for the services covered by the Foundation are updated before the end of February to avoid discontinuity. On that note, the list of relevant services has already been shared with Product and Engineering workstream leaders, and transition is already in progress.
The Foundation’s entity will take time to fully wind down, so while financial support is ending this month, we will continue to maintain assets such as app store developer licenses as long as we reasonably can and transition these assets to the DAO’s workstream leaders to the best of our ability.
