ok, now i should read what you changed lol.

Just a few word changes. and it makes it alot better, thanks!

(now, if you can go down to the next section… hehe)

the ‘following rules’ is the hard part.

between fbl/ptt/fb/gk i think we can get this up this week… would be great.

so, if nothing else 6 and 7 are just place holders in case more was thought of…

I want to keep the 8month

if signer, dont want any cross weirdness (or even bad look) if on the dfc, nor TSSC.

so no dfc member, to be a MSer

TSSC member is removed if approved for MSer (and cant vote on themselves..hm that should be added)

TSSC can add anyone (including above if disallowed otherwise, it can be bypassed (if required)

so ill remove 6, 7 and add that cant vote on themselves.

(gah, but if theres only one tssc, and losing signers… for whatever reason.. might be the only available person??) f. should that be there. maybe i shouldnt say that they cant? (my head spins here)

Thanks for posting the Ideation!

A detail, but I think the verb “establish” works only for something that is newly created, it should be “revise” maybe?

Ideation, what changes? i can think about them now?

ehhe

Yes, it’s still time to change anything you want… always a gamble with the votes that agree, whatever you changed might make them disagree, but they should voice that here if it’s the case when you say you’re going to change something

But don’t worry I won’t vote no if you don’t change that specific line, just a detail that I’ve noticed while doing a full re-read before voting

oh, i already changed it.
to me, that wouldnt be something to vote ‘yes with changes’ for.

changes means… somethings wrong with something and needs fixed!

but ofc, everyone has their own ideas on whats big i suppose lolol

(but ya, check the proposal post above, i changed it as soon as i seen your post, made sense)

*edit Then again, maybe im just worried that somethings wrong and any response, i want to know deep dive about lol.

No worries GK! Bringing this to the ballot box is what matters i think.

I voted for with changes and then realized they were all minor edits. If anything it’s probably worth clarifying:

  • the parameters for back pay. it’s mentioned in the opener but considering it’s taken this long for the DAO to get a vote up, probably want to specifically declare the time the Sablier’s ended until the date this vote goes live is pay of 3 months (if that’s the specific amount, pretty sure it is).
  • If DFC members can’t be on there then that also reduces the ranks to 2 total TSSC members, worth considering.

anyways, :handshake: :+1:

So im gonna repaste the edits here, as some are basing things off the first post still, so here it is:

any edits from this version:

Summary

This proposal revises the Treasury Signer Selection Committee tasking them with vetting, managing, compensating, and appointing new Treasury Signers for the ShapeShift DAO.

The Treasury Signer role is a paid role of the ShapeShift DAO with a formal job description, duties, SLAs, and compensation.

Background

The ShapeShift DAO deploys funds form it’s treasury and revenues of the Shapeshift product suite, furthering its mission of building and maintaining the easiest-to-use decentralized interface for blockchains. To sustain the DAO’s activity, including compensating DAO contributors, managing expenses, paying out rFOX, and executing the DFC’s votes, the DAO treasury must regularly create, sign, and broadcast blockchain transactions. Treasury Signers fulfill this function on behalf of the DAO.

When the ShapeShift DAO was formed, ShapeShift AG appointed an initial set of Treasury Signers to manage its treasury, however, no process was established for what happens when a signer retires, or for appointing new signers to the set.

After several years of operation, the gaps in programs execution, expectations and responsilbities are now much clearer.

Abstract

ShapeShift DAO needs to ensure there are sufficient Treasury Signers (TSes) to protect the ShapeShift DAO Treasury. Per SCP-135 the Treasury Signer Selection Committee has filled this specific scope: the committee appoints individuals who will fulfill the Treasury Signer role for the DAO.

As of Feb 1 2026 Signers have been on duty yet unpaid.

So, this proposal:

  • Formalizes the Treasury Signer role as a monthly compensation, subject to the boosted FOX calculations, managed via monthly payout sheet. This fits our exisiting paradigm and doesn’t create scope creep.

  • includes a three month retroactive payment to be issude upon passing.

A formal Job Description of the Treasury Signer role is maintained on the ShapeShift DAO Document site here: MultiSig Signer

Treasury Signer Selection Committee (TSSC)

The TSSC is responsible for ensuring there are enough Treasury Signers appointed to manage the ShapeShift DAO Treasury. If there is not, the TSSC is responsible for researching and vetting candidates in private and appointing new TSes to ensure the business continuity of ShapeShift DAO treasury operations. To minimize the security impact to both the ShapeShift DAO and the Treasury Signers, the identities of Treasury Signers will not be disclosed to the DAO or to the public, and will only be disclosed to members of the TSSC.

The TSSC shall be comprised of current workstream leaders of any ShapeShift DAO workstream, provided the Following rules are followed:

  1. The workstream leader has fulfilled their leadership duties for at least eight (8) months.

  2. If selected as a MSig signer, they no longer have a vote in the TSSC, if tssc to vote on a member, that member must Abstain.

  3. DFC member should not be on the signer committee. (nor be a ms signer)

  4. TSSC members can vote to add someone early, as needed.

  5. if not enough members on the TSSC, then The longest Standing leader is automatically on the TSSC.

While it is recommended that no fewer than two (2) and no more than five (5) Treasury Signers be appointed at any given time, the TSSC shall be granted full authority to appoint or dismiss TSes at their discretion to ensure the smooth operation and security of the ShapeShift Treasury.

TSSC will own past payment spreadsheet, month-to-month calculations will be included in the Contributor Payout Sheet starting June 1 2026

Benefits

The benefits of formalizing this position and offering :

Ensuring there is a process for the continuity of treasury operations for the ShapeShift DAO

Ensuring the role is properly defined so that there is clarity on TS duties

Ensuring the role is properly compensated so that candidates are incentivized to apply, and existing Treasury Signers have incentives to continue in their role.

Ensuring there is a process for vetting candidates without divulging their identity to the public

Drawbacks

There is a cost to the DAO to fund these appointments

The DAO does not have full visibility into the selection process, so they will have to trust the TSSC members to make good decisions on behalf of the DAO

Vote

A vote of Yes will revise the Treasury Signer Selection Committee as defined above, and formalize the Treasury Signer role as a full-time paid role of the ShapeShift DAO with FOX compensation in the amount of $1000 per month. Sent to Hedgey via the payout sheet.

A vote of No rejects this proposal and its changes
