What We did this week 5/23/25

3 Releases - 33 commits

Operational Notes:

This week was a lot of polish work in regards to wallet connect flow improvements as well as tcy user experience improvements and some updates to FOX farming and rFOX. The initialization/connection flow also got a bit of focus this week as we smoothed and simplified the experience.

Lots of work is going into MAYA support behind a flag as well as focuses turning more towards agentic work.

Node uptime is still been a thorn in the side of Ops/Support/Kevin but NowNodes is now providing daily updates about the status of their nodes recovery and have increased their comms and attention they are giving us.

A few contributors will be repping ShapeShift at the BTC and LTC conventions next week, if you’re around bee on the lookout for us and say hey!

General & Strategy

Had a great conversation & temperature check on the notification center. It’s now unblocked and had it’s system architecture mapping/review. This is setting mobile up really well for success and feeling native to your phone. Alongside unlocking multiple swaps without being paranoid on the app.

Eng added Linear project updates in discord and marketing sourced some new ideas on chains to integrate. Quarterly planning next month will be spicy. We’re aiming to keep linear as light as possibile: it should just make what we need easier to access. If it ever feels like a burden we’re doing it wrong. Based on the sheer quality of the updates, it seems to be going well. Special shout out to Neo for his sanity check instincts this week.

No changes on the high level initiatives, subscribe to Eng public for updates. Agent is coming along which is bonkers exciting.

Process & Research & Team

Hpayne made a point that mixpanel and onchain can come together better. To wit we spun up a report on quote ⇒ trade conversion. Which is interesting. Next up is the onchain match to see accuracy there.

PTT did not finish his XRP report but there is some :hot_pepper: coming down the pipe. I won’t spoil it for everyone.

Gave a product review to the landing pages with marketing, that thing looks so much better. With some quality tweaks, polish and edits we’ll have an SEO machine that turns leads into quotes. Hell yeah.

Spec updates:

  • Spec Ratio is at: 2.83
    • As we transition to linear this will be less and less important. Expect a product goals revision once we deploy a new product. The KPI’s that brought us here won’t bring us there.

Spec Backlog

(new):magic_wand: In progress linear :dizzy:(new)

(new):magic_wand: Cycle breakdown :dizzy:(new) is starting to reflect reality.

We’ll get better at proper scoping up front so it’s not overwhelming.

Other feature process:

  • add a feature you’d like to see at shapeshift.canny.io and bring your friends for upvotes
    • Response KPI : :white_check_mark: couple of leaking support issues onto canny.
  • specs board
