Atm ideation is still voted on Snapshot.
Someday it will be in forum.

I know it’s on snapshot, I’m answering to his message linking to snapshot. Our Governance process states:
Must include three options:
It’s in the linked page in my previous message, the word “must” makes it mandatory.
uhoh looks like we have conflicted Posts about our template http://forum.shapeshift.com/thread/proposal-template-and-instructions-40167 States just 2. I think thats what i do. yes/no. I think the ‘with changes’ is confusing and can break the vote system. (split votes)
Might have to add this to our next Lunch/gov/leadership call to clarify.
How is the community supposed to voice their support for changes in a proposal at the Ideation stage without this third option?
I think it’s fair to have just Yes and No at the final proposal stage, but why have this Ideation stage and the delays implied if we’re going to not hear the community votes for potential changes at the Ideation stage?
The vote “Yes with changes” is still is a “Yes”, I don’t think it splits the vote. The Ideation proposal will pass provided there is enough “Yes” + “Yes With Changes” compared to “No”. It’s there to give an indication to the author that their proposal might lose this share of the support if no changes are made. They should refer to the discussions during Incubation in the forum/Discord threads/calls to identify the requested changes, and act these changes if they think it could affect the final approval of their proposal.
But a no vote would also say, this isnt quite what i want, please change it.
what happens if alot say yes, alot say yes with changes. the poster decides either way?
(i started another topic about this)
Have to tag @willy on this one
SCP-60 which passed governance says what I’ve quoted in the detailed rules for Ideation posts. I don’t think forum threads have more value than this. So until the process is changed again, through governance, this should have three options.
Only difference is we’re doing the poll on Snapshot currently, due to technical issues/limitation. Although I think Metaforo would now allow to do it on the forum, and comply fully with SCP-60.
The forum option DOES do this, but we are waiting for the option with a KK to work before changing it.
For sure, I don’t mind it being on Snapshot until it works completely on Metaforo. But still with the 3 voting options if we want to follow the SPC-60 our community voted to have.
Been reposted https://snapshot.org/#/shapeshiftdao.eth/proposal/0x7d84f6e07d6ed01d0c86a3649bfa430536e8da497f150b04351cde6353defd03
Thank you for pointing this out @Fireb0mb1 - I don’t post proposals often and there’s been a few process changes since last time.
Also thanks to @Giantkin and @willyfox for hand-holding through the paperwork, and@willyfox reposting the updated link

No problem, thanks for reposting it! I’m convinced there was no bad intention on anyone’s part, my worry is really to follow the process we’ve established/voted as close as possible to show our community that their voting matters ![]()
Another clerical fail on my behalf. @willyfox just pointed out that SCP-123 is already consumed by a marketing proposal.
I wanted to note this publicly now. I won’t take down the ideation vote in snapshot; there’s clearly enough context in the content of the proposals to differentiate them.
When this proposal goes to final vote, I’ll use the correct, monotonically increasing id, likely SCP-126, but whatever is correct at the time.
Moved to final vote here. Please note, ideation was incorrectly posted as SCP-123, this final vote has used the next available correct SCP, SCP-129.
