Integrate Venice.ai into ShapeShift: An Idea Worth Exploring?

Hey Everyone, I’ve been pondering an idea that I’d like to share with the community. It’s about potentially integrating Venice.ai (part of the decentralized Morpheus ecosystem), into the ShapeShift app. I’m curious to hear your thoughts on this concept.

The Idea

Imagine if we could harness the AI capabilities of Venice.ai within the ShapeShift App. This integration could potentially improve how we interact with the app and manage our crypto assets.

Possible Features

If this integration were to happen, we might be able to:

• Find answers to frequently asked questions.

• Analyze our portfolios using AI-powered insights.

• Execute complex transactions through simple language prompts.

For example, you could theoretically input: “Convert $1000 worth of Bitcoin to Atom via the lowest fee route, then stake in the Atom/Rune Thorchain pool.” The AI could handle all the intricate steps automatically.

Community Synergy

Both the Morpheus and ShapeShift communities share similar values like openness, decentralization and user autonomy. This alignment could make such a collaboration particularly interesting. Also, it’s worth noting that Erik Voorhees, one of ShapeShift’s founders, has been involved with the Venice.ai project. This connection could potentially facilitate setting up the relevant contacts for cooperation.

Potential Incentives

To kickstart adoption if this idea ever materialized, one could consider a mutual token airdrop. For instance, Morpheus tokens for FOX holders, and FOX tokens for MOR holders. This is just a thought to encourage engagement across both communities.

Your Thoughts?

I’m curious to hear what you all think about this concept. Do you see potential in integrating Venice.ai’s AI capabilities into ShapeShift? What benefits or challenges do you foresee? How do you think this could change the way we use the ShapeShift app?

Remember, this is just a rough idea at this stage. I’d like to hear your perspectives and whether you think this is an interesting direction for ShapeShift to explore.

That is an interesting idea.

I would use it, if it was more of a question:

‘what is the best route for x y z to stake to A’

The FAQ aspect is rather interesting too.
(ppl dont seem to read faq, but if your asking a question and getting an answer, ppl might be more inclined to do that!

This might be a good thing to put on the canny board to be looked at there.

i will later if its not done already.

I’ve been super deep researching AI stuff for a possible mini app or integrated holistically into the platform. It’s a great idea and exciting, but it’s not an insignificant amount of work. We have to pick the right AI use case that the DAO uniquely would excel at.

We could certainly do prompt based swaps but that doesn’t seem like a great value add.

but this:

is way harder than it seems. The natural language seems like it makes sense but the interstitial steps are chaining a lot of requests together which also require signatures. Where are those permissions stored? Where are those extra requests stored? how is that hosted and remembered? What happens if one times out or fails? On top of that it’s two wallet standards. What happens when people want EVM multi actions?

That’s just a glimpse into all the questions that need answering before engaging this particular use case. The amount of prompts is wild!

Could be interesting. I don’t know what the MOR token is actually for at this point. I saw that you get the interest from stETH stripped which is a cool mechanism but not sure why it exists.

Thanks for bringing the idea to the fold! We could for sure use some deeper research at what the API can handle or where memory is saved. Also how it treats wallets…
