What we did last week 7/11/25

6 Releases - 41 commits - 1 ephemeral environment test

Operational Notes:

Mayachain has been successfully integrated into swapper and brought live to production. The notification center is now live in production. Butter should be in production next week.

Some issues not caught in releases related to mobile account management caused an uptick in support tickets, thankfully there is a troubleshooting work around that requires no code fix while the team tackles the issue.

ThorFi features should now be down to just RUNE pools as we have remove the savers balances from the app. If you are a user that is wondering how to engage with that locked balance, please visit the Thorchain discord and get involved with their community to find out more about the future of locked savers positions.

We now support AVAX and POLy on cowswap providing more robust and competitive swaps across multiple networks in our swapper.

General product check in. Strategy, notes, testing, date and hype.

Maya slippage seems off so we disabled for a bit while we investigate what could be going on. Short lived hype was nice, it’ll be back soon. We’re deep in understanding the math of streaming which has a cumulative effect that we need to triple check. it could end up simply be that large streaming swaps on maya are thin liquidity but display as higher. Worth pushing for the best UX we can manage.

Mobile feeling pretty good here, still a lot to work through design wise making the experience feel extra special.

Notifications are getting more polish tickets and extending our view for the user expeirnce everywhere. Currently working through the idea of removing all status screens in the app. Everywhere users sat with a tab open is an opportunity to finish what you came for, or start another action. The action center in, well, action. Huge props to everyone for this going live.

This next cycle agent spiking opens up into orchestration a bit more. THis has been a long standing issue, getting more than one set of eyes on the thing. We’re getting close to iterative path, since we’ve hit so many dead ends.

Leadership got together on my push to coordinate our goals together. Progress here and a bit more innovation on coordinating around silos. Silo number go down.

Summary:

  • business is better than ever been with a revenue model that makes sense and great runway. Check out @ProfMcC charts!
  • users, however, down low and @hpayne_shapeshiftdem marketing is going to make growth and conversions the north star. having the main domain not look crazy will help a lot here. Traffic number go up. We will also help them pixel the connect wallet button so audience research that’s been going on years now actually connects to acquisition. That loop looks like: Top of funnel (owned and tracked by marketing), conversion (product & eng), onchain rev (DFC) and then —> repeat back at the top.
  • 17% of volume is mobile, so the mobile refresh and subsequent marketing push should help a lot there.
  • 8% of all quotes lead to trade success. lots of room for improvement.

Process & Research & Team

Butter APi turns out to be flakey, some follow up coming there. Apo is out next week so i’ts just lil old me trying to fill the pipeline desperately as we crush through work. Spending more time updating tickets with clear ACC.

:mage: new section alert!!! Data with PTT

We updated the dashboards into three:

Conversions - Request Access - Mixpanel
Trades - Request Access - Mixpanel
Wallets - Request Access - Mixpanel

These should load faster and also now capture more of the funnel. Allowing data to rule the day for what we should focus on. Overall conversions YOY at down .53 % But faster time from show up to trade.

Trade Preview Count, Trade Success Count, Trade Success Volume vs 12m Prior

12m vs 12m prior MAU’s

rFOX Deposits

You could see this as down and to the right, until you realize the swap volume ebbs and flows but stays really steady. Time to juice acquisition, try new strategy’s, and align all our execution around some new interactions. LFG

Spec updates:

Spec Backlog pretty much entirely cleaned. We’re moving into making the app an app again. Calling it “a dashboard versus an app” actually nails the state we’re in. Thank you for crystallizing @gomes :handshake:

In progress linear

Cycle breakdown Monday, looking light again.

Other feature process:

  • add a feature you’d like to see at shapeshift.canny.io and bring your friends for upvotes
    • Response KPI : :white_check_mark: couple of leaking support issues onto canny.
  • **specs board**
