Operational Notes:

More flagged work that is super close (notification center, relay, and a wild Maya appears). Next week should be a big one. Tyler out this week so shout out to Max and reed for holding down the fort.


[Product] General & Strategy

Notification center flag is on, will coordinate and get a push on there soon, so we can unblock it with plumbing.

Relay behind the flag, you can get quotes and see if ya know how :wink:, we met their marketing team, building some hype on this swapper. Thank you Relay for the L2 <> L2 unlocks.

Maya inbound and we are in touch with them when ready.

Reached out Base team for better support. So, we’ll see there.

AI work continues, now the deploy and agent infra actually functions. Excited to see next steps and personalize it towards our POC.

Process & Research & Team

Doc done for what to expect with linear. What problems it solves, how it increases coordination, and finishing up plugging how/when to use versus Github. Linear is cool because it makes interactions that are hard to surface in Github feel more natural. Following projects is much easier too, especially across workstreams.

Did a bunch more work on evaluators and Eliza docs in advance of the product questions for the agent. Based on marketing’s weds workshop we might give the app a final push, depends on bandwith. More on that later but the product takeaway is mobile and notification center when we can. Then high level we get two features per quarter and spend the quarter beforehand deploy evaluating which two are best for next quarter on the platform.

Spec updates:

  • Spec Ratio is at: 2.28.
    • Could theoretically push everything bridge related into the back but i’ll leave that for a couple of linear planning sessions we’re lining up.

  • (cont.) Building ShameShift automated twitter bot w/ vibecoding
    • Roasts peoples trades on ShapeShift by reading the ShapeShift bot on X and automating some kind LLM roast. WIP, code currently broken and need help debugging ⇒ chatted with apo and can get engineering eyes on this; just need to make a ticket.
  • ShapeShift_info bot to includes Chainflip now
    • Next is portals
  • Arkeo Airdrop closes next week. Go claim your tokens.

Reddit (in progress)

  • Proposal doc complete → Reddit Proposal - Google Docs
  • Sapote managing daily engagement in key subreddits (see above)
  • Positioning ShapeShift across high-intent communities with updated feature summary ⇒ biweekly updates.
  • Mixpanel to track attributed traffic to app.shapeshift.com via UTM’s, and referral URL. Looking to run this experiment for 3-5 months, see impact, and see if its worth our time to continue
  • Scoping Reddit Pro

Product/Marketing/Engineering app.shapeshift.com positioning Workshop

  • We came together with engineering and product to do an hr long workshop around where we are great today, where we are weak today, why our app is worth talking about, and walking away with some small projects/initiatives that we want to focus on these next couple weeks.
    1. Continue polishing and removing papercuts from the app.
      1. End goal of making app maintain and run with a maintenance burden like OG.
      2. Ensure that the app is a delightful experience ⇒ we want to be the best interface in the industry (smoothest, most clear)
      3. This falls on all contributors to use the app and surface issues when using it. If you have anything that irks you, say something in Discord
    2. Marketing to re-evaluate the hook of shapeshift
      1. Settling on something along the lines of “ShapeShift is the best way for people to trade BTC to anything and anything to BTC privately, safely, and with the best rates.”
        1. We are basically the expedia of crypto lmao
    3. Getting a better understanding of who exactly our competitors are now that we feel confident and comfortable knowing who we are and what we do.

  • Boosting Posts to countries
    • PPC model being explored
    • Impressions DIRT cheap, nice to see some activity come from those as well.
    • 4/21/25 Update:


  • Chatting with the Google Ads team to get some SERP ads spun up
    • thinking mobile and AI agent as a longterm goal here but for immediate term building traffic to regular web app NOT just awareness; communicating its a super niche market that makes up our users
  • Chatted with the Reddit team
    • Trying to get the r/shapeshift subreddit in our control一they are seeing what they can do to manhandle it over to us internally
    • Checking out reddit pro for advanced insights
    • Followup meeting next week to chat about paid media inside of reddit and what that might look like
  • SEO:
    • Exploring this more to check out SERP performance on Google and paid placements there (ex: when someone googles “Uniswap”, shapeshift comes up as as paid option as #1)
    • New Website will help with this a ton.
    • Spiking into new landing pages and keywords to start playing with.
      • Found some cool insight with some AI tooling to help 5x our output here once we get the systems up
  • Gitcoin Grants application:
    • Round closed on Wednesday, TBD on how much we get.
  • CoinMarketCap (Started this week; inspired by this post: https://x.com/antoniosco_mov/status/1904948885736259926)
